The portrait of this tree was made by hand using a dry needlefelting technique. It measures 4" x 4" and is matted and framed to a size of 10" x 10" in a black wood frame.
Needlefelting is a technique where raw wool, also called roving, is manipulated with a series of sharp barbed needles to create the desired shape and textuture.
